John Key Public Talk
Close to 300 people turned up in Levin’s Memorial Hall to hear John Key talk about Nationals vision for crime. John was outstanding with one lady standing and saying “I’ve been to many political meetings and you are a breath of fresh air”.
Last time we had a public meeting Labour sent along their secretary to take notes and this time it was former Labour MP Judy Keall.
I couldn’t understand why Judy was one of the last to leave until I saw her snatch National’s Policy Summary on an A4 sheet. (Obviously she missed out getting one on her seat in the hall?) She could find all of guff on the website anyway.
She was probably wanting to see if we had broken Labour’s draconian Electoral Finance Act (which we hadn’t)
On that note: Interesting to see the Electoral Commission has just let Labour off with a warning for distributing a glossy brochure – which the Commission found broke Labour’s own law. Labour gets a warning instead of being referred to the Police…. Does that mean Crime is on the way down under Labour, with one less reported Crime Statistic?
