Govt Includes Kapiti & Levin in Broadband Plan
Otaki MP Nathan Guy says it is great news Kapiti and Levin are included in the Government’s proposed broadband initiative.
“National campaigned on a goal to invest in the accelerated roll-out of ultra-fast broadband to 75% of New Zealanders which we are delivering on.
“What’s important locally is that a good chunk of the Otaki electorate will benefit from this proposed investment.”
“I’m delighted that over 56,000 people in our region will benefit from this roll out of ultra-fast broadband”
Mr Guy says ultra-fast broadband will encourage new enterprise and innovation and spur increased productivity.
“Businesses, schools, health services and local residents will all benefit from the advantages of this technology. The ability to work from home without having to get in a car, bus or train will help to achieve a greater work-life balance."
“Fibre to schools and children's homes will further enhance teaching and learning methods”.
“This is a very exciting initiative that has huge benefits for the Otaki electorate” says Mr Guy.
