Guy Attends Special Anzac Day Services
Otaki MP Nathan Guy is honoured to be involved in many special Anzac Day events on Saturday.
“On Anzac Day it will be a privilege to remember the efforts of New Zealanders who sacrificed their lives in war and to honour those who have served in our armed forces.”
Mr Guy plans to attend the dawn service at Paraparaumu and then deliver a speech at the civic service at the Levin Cenotaph. He will also attend special services celebrating 50 years of the Levin War Veterans home and read a prayer at Manakau, as part of the community’s 121st celebrations.
“Our region contributed many men and women towards the efforts of our armed forces in Gallipoli and the other battlefields of the First World War. Many more served in the Second World War, Korea, Vietnam, and conflicts in the Pacific and around the world.
“Anzac Day is a day to honour our soldiers who fell in battle up to 94 years ago and to pay tribute to those Kiwis who are helping to build a better world today. It is a day to show our support for the spirit of service which sustained this country through its most difficult times and it is a day New Zealanders must never forget,” he says.

· 6am Dawn Parade, Paraparaumu
· 7.30am Manakau Service
· 9am War Veterans Home, Levin
