Racing seminars to be held around the country
Racing Minister Nathan Guy will join New Zealand racing industry leaders at a series of regional meetings this week.
He will be joined by the New Zealand Racing Board’s Chairman Dr Alan Jackson and Chief Executive Chris Bayliss to discuss the issues and opportunities facing racing.
“This is an opportunity for people involved at the grassroots of racing to meet with me and the new leadership team at the Racing Board.
“We will be discussing a range of issues facing the industry, including the need to increase participation and the Racing Board’s work on a Strategic Plan.
“Racing contributes more than $1.6 billion to the economy and supports around 17,000 fulltime equivalent jobs. It is important for New Zealand that the industry is well managed and successful.”

•31 October 4pm: Phar Lap Room, Riccarton Park Racecourse, Christchurch
